Melvin relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, in the early 2000s and signed with Jermaine Dupri’s record label, "So So Def." His first major release was with hip hop group “UGK" in 2002. From there he went on to produce a string of Billboard number one albums for artists such as, Jagged Edge, Missy Elliot, Ruben Studdard and many others.

After leaving Atlanta, Melvin relocated to Los Angles and joined The Underdogs production team. Together they produced songs for various artists, including Chris Brown and Jordan Sparks’ hit single “No Air,” that has sold over 3.5 million units to date and the soundtrack for “Dreamgirls,” that included the hit single “Listen.”

Melvin “St. Nick” Coleman is a Grammy Award nominated music producer,  musician, and composer who has worked with a host of prestigious artists, including Usher, TLC, Tank, Charlie Wilson, Missy Elliott, and Jagged Edge. Nick has 3 grammy nominations for Tank, Missy Elliott, and Charlie Wilson and has three #1 albums, five top 10 albums and over 15 million units sold worldwide.

Melvin Coleman continues to leave an indelible imprint on the music scene. Since the early 2000's, his phenomenal productions have been instrumental in creating hits for numerous artists, e.g. Usher, Ginuwine, TLC, Chris Brown, Rick Ross and many others.

Respected beyond the genres of urban and hip hop music, Melvin, whose musical influences cross cultural lines, has also been sought by diverse superstars whose music similarly knows no boundaries.
